Growing up, I always felt like there was something lacking in the fantasy books I read. The few female characters I came across were either scantily-clad, had all the personality of a brick wall, or were there JUST so they could be a love interest to the main character. Sometimes all three. I got tired of never having role models in my fantasy. I got tired of people putting their goals and missions on hold for a while in order to seek out a romance that didn't make sense in the overall arc. I figured my future daughters deserved more than that. So I created the Faoii.

My debut novel, THE LAST FAOII, is a stand-alone fantasy about a young woman raising an army and defending her homeland. If you like strong females leading armies (and wearing armor that covers all of their body parts) this might be for you. Because sometimes we need to ask for swords instead of glass slippers.
